Job Description:
This position is for a Mechanical Engineer performing design with overall responsibility for the production of engineering deliverables and equipment required in nuclear, geo thermal, solar, fossil fuel power plant facility.
The individual will work under the direction of an engineering manager for the following:

  • Design of plant system and equipment such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, feed water heaters, air cooled condensers etc.
  • Preparation and review of P&IDs, calculations, equipment specifications, material requisitions, subcontract packages, system descriptions, design criteria documents, design change packages and technical bid evaluations.
  • Coordination of work activities with other project groups.
  • Ensuring designs are consistent with project technical requirements, codes, standards and estimates.
  • Conducting field walk downs as necessary.
  • Responsible for the production of specifications for mechanical equipment in accordance with project requirements.
  • Must work effectiveley within and outside the company, the client organisation, and the regulatory agencies.

Desired Candidate Profile:
Bachelors (B.E/B.Tech) or Masters of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering with practical design experience in mechanical engineering within an industry related to the above.
Candidates must have expertise with industry regulatory standards and design criteria. They must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language.

Job Function: Structural, mechanical & power process

Job Description:

Zacq Technologies is currently seeking to immediately add mechanical/structural analysts to its Structural/Dynamic Group for its technology center, Zacq Technologies in India. Both entry level and experienced candidates are being sought.

The analyst would be called upon to analyze metallic weldments, reinforced concrete and soil-subgrade supported structures.

Typical types of analyses include:

  • Static and dynamic finite element modeling and analysis.
  • Modeling and analysis of structural impacts and target response.
  • Simulation of the responses of freestanding structures in the air or submerged in water.
  • Static and dynamic analysis of large reinforced concrete structures.
  • Soil-structure analysis with freestanding structures.
Desired Candidate Profile:

Applicants should preferably possess advanced training (M.S., Ph.D. or equivalent) in solid mechanics with academic or industrial experience in the latest stress analysis codes. State-of-the-art expertise in static and dynamic analysis of systems and structures is essential for this position. Prior industrial experience is not mandatory; however, the applicant must have excellent credentials in solid mechanics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Job Function: Drafting and detailing equipment

Job Description

The Mechanical Draftsperson is responsible for detailing the equipment for use in the power industry such as High-Pressure Feed Water Heaters/ Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers/Surface Condensers and has the primary responsibility to:

  • Coordinate and perform drawing/drafting work to fulfill project requirements and achieve target dates
  • Prepare and review design concept drawings for equipment using input from various technical disciplines
  • Prepare and review detailed fabrication drawings to be used by manufacturers to fabricate Holtec equipment
  • Assist design team members with their responsibilities for accurate and timely execution of projects.
Requirements:
  • Excellent attention to detail and capable of producing error-free documents
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent math, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge, application and understanding of ASME Y14.5 standards
  • Knowledge of engineering design practices and principles (e.g. interference checks, tolerance stack-ups, fits, GD&T)
  • Experience working with engineers and fabricators to develop designs and drawings
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work in a timely fashion with minimal supervision
  • Minimum of 2 years experience using CAD software to create both 3D solid models and 2D detailed drawings
Areas of particular interest include::
  • Formal training in AutoCAD/SolidWorks software
  • Experience in the detailing of equipment for the power generation industry
  • Experience with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ACI Code/TEMA/HEI
  • Understanding of the design and manufacturing processes of steel structures and pressure vessels
  • Understanding of welding symbols and practices
  • Qualification – ITI (Mechanical Draftsman)/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Job Function: Civil and Site/Electrical/Aerospace/Engg Project Management

Job Description:

The technical specification writer will be required to prepare technical specifications for Zacq Technology’s worldwide projects. He/She will also be engaged in writing/preparing bid documents/proposals based on client’s specifications and technical requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile:

The candidate must possess good writing skills with technical knowledge in Mechanical/Structural/Nuclear. He/she should also have relevant experience of minimum 2 years in the same profile. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Structural is a must. Candidates from Power and Energy Industry will be preferred.
